Baby alpaca was chosen not only for its softness, but for what lies beneath it. Its hollow-core fibre structure holds warmth at a fraction of the weight that wool alone would require. Where fine cashmere achieves softness through fineness, alpaca achieves character through architecture. The two are not competing for the same thing.

FIBRE & COMPOSITION

Baby alpaca is a semi-hollow fibre — it traps air within each strand, delivering exceptional warmth relative to weight. Naturally lanolin-free: no irritation for sensitive skin. Greater fibre length than cashmere means significantly less surface pilling over years of wear. Its inherent luster gives the cloth depth that matte fibres cannot replicate.
